Industry experts define the top five tips for a successful business intelligence project
Danny Bradbury, a Silicon.com columnist, polled several industry experts including Mike Jelen, VP of BICG University, to compile the top 5 ways to maximize your business intelligence. Bradbury states in his article, "to make your business more efficient it is important to align your company by first setting your goals and highlighting your critical success factors."
Bradbury emphasizes Jelen's point that training is a key factor in any business intelligence project. “Training plays a big part in getting users comfortable with the software," says Jelen. Bradbury states that when building a business intelligence system it is important to create an application that will be the foundation for your company to grown on. "Business Intelligence is a broad system with many touches within an organization. This makes it essential to have the program management run properly. The content you create with the software is only as good as the data you put into it. The importance of clean, validated data has long lasting effects on the master data management across an entire organization," says Bradbury.
