September 17, 2009 – Minneapolis, MN (USA) -- BI Consulting Group announced today the addition of 8 seasoned resources as they formalize the addition of an Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Practice to compliment their already best-in-class Business Intelligence Practice.

Mike Zajec has been acquired to lead BI Consulting Group’s EPM Practice. Zajec, who spent 6 years with Hyperion as a District Manager, was most recently tied to the significant growth of Top Down Consulting where he served as the company’s Regional Director since 2004.

Hyperion, which was acquired by Oracle Corporation in 2007, plays an important role in Oracle’s product roadmap for Enterprise Performance Management and the bundle for Oracle Business Intelligence. The evolution of Oracle EPM has included the acquisition of multiple technologies including: Essbase, Brio, Hyperion System 9, Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Strategic Finance, and Hyperion Master Data Management. Zajec’s experience in this space will be both a positive benefit to BICG and BICG’s customer base.

The acquisition of Zajec and the formal launch of BI Consulting Group’s EPM Practice parallel the kick-off of the BICG Summit in Minneapolis which focuses on continuing education and company engagement. While at the BICG Summit, staff members participate in educational sessions on advanced topics specific to Oracle Business Intelligence and Enterprise Performance Management. Session titles include: Essbase & OBIEE Integration, Oracle MapViewer & OBIEE Integration, Oracle Real Time Decisions (RTD), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), and The Hyperion Stack.
